When I look at people I see something beyond the exterior. I see something special and unique in each face and heart that find it’s way into my lens. I have found if I just wait patiently and provide the right environment I will capture that something real, that moment that gives me goosebumps, at times brings tear and makes my heart soar. This is what I want you to feel when you see images of you and your family.
I am never waiting for a perfect posed moment, in reality it’s those messy imperfect moments that make us real. It’s the capturing those silly grins, those tears being wiped away, that joy of laughter that is captured in the spontaneous moments of life that I relish as a photographer.
My work has been described as real, full of free spirit, deeply emotional. I like those descriptions because it is what I strive for. I love when I hear “I have never loved a picture of myself until you took it”, I am humbled and honored when I hear that.
When we meet, show up with your real self, your whole heart. I can’t wait to meet you.
While I don’t actually take the pictures I am a lover of photography. For me and my family we have known in very poignant ways the importance of photography. When my husband suddenly passed away at a very young age, having current pictures that Chris had taken for us became valuable beyond measure. As a matter of fact it was a picture of his last day on this earth that has become a priceless possession for me and my children. So, when I say I feel like photography is important I mean that with my whole heart. When the opportunity came to partner with Chris in the studio it was an easy decision for me not only because I love Chris and her work but because I want to be a part of providing something so precious for our clients. I love when people see their images and their hearts flutter and they are excited to have captured those sweet moments. I am proud to be a part of something that provides priceless memories for others.
